In an anti-piracy report on Zdnet today is this quote:-

John Thompson, chief executive of Symantec, last month said, "The Norton brand is the BMW of the security world."

Yeah, why not?

Seems to be the thing to do nowadays, sue somebody for something,,,
Compensation culture sickness is spreading globally from the US,,, so yeah, somebody does something or says something you don't like or disagree with,,, SUE THEM!

Get a life !:ugh:

I've uninstalled Norton. I have McAffe 'quick clean' went to add/remove programs, click on Norton, select remove, (Mcaffe application remnat cleaner enabled) Mcaffe takes over and cleans the lot out.

Then you have to get rid of McAffe :E

Download the latest copy of Avast.
Save the download file.
Back up your files.
Reformat your hard drive.
Do a clean install of the O/S.
Install all your applications from the original disks.
Load the saved Avast download file.
Install Avast.
Reload your files, letting Avast check them out as you do so.
Set up your firewall. (You DO have a firewall, right?)

Now you're dancing.
