I am trying to unlock my Sharp GX10 pay as you go mobile locked to Vodafone.

I have googled this and it comes up with a load of quite frankly crap where you call 090 numbers and pay £2.50+ for software they email.

I would like to know if anyone has this software or anyone has the unlock codes for this particular phone or has anyone done an unlock of their mobile online or from one of these 090 lines?

Cheers

I have unlocked all of my phones (albeit Nokias) using the following forum and never had a problem and best of all its free:

Only note of warning is to read the stickies at the tops of the forums and bone up on the number of times you can input the unlock code into your Sharp before it locks you out. If this happens then a code is no good and you will need a cable solution which will cost.

Edit: It looks like your model is not able to be remotely unlocked by a code (needs a clip so you will need a cable solution often found at markets or any of about 20 dodgy electronic shops littered along Tottenham Court Rd if your in London):-

Thanks for site link.
As said can't unlock my phone remotely :{

Can't I just go to a vodafone/phones4u whatever and ask for them to unlock it something like a tenner to unlock it for you there and then?

I'm not sending it off to anyone don't trust it.

Cheers

You should just be able to ring up Vodafone and ask them for an unlock code. Not sure what the current going rate is though, I would imagine around £20 or £30

As noted above you can get Vodafone to unlock it for you although this is generally the more expensive way to go. If your down your local high road or near a market or better still are in London then the cheapest solution is to pop into one of those dodgy electronics shops and have a bloke do it for you there and then. Takes only a few seconds literally once he has cabled it up. No need to send off the phone or anything like that although there are those options as well.

After a few calls pointing out that I owned the phone and that to prevent me using it freely once I was out of contract with them could be deemed an unfair contract T-Mobile relented and sent me an unlock code without charging.

No doubt the attitide will be a bit harder on pay as you go, but its worth a try.
