Does anyone know the starting salaries for the ops jobs at Jet2?

Also, would they consider taking on someone wiith no experience who is studying for their ATPL's CPL/IR etc. Would they see this as someone who is just trying to get a foot in the door and look at it as a bad thing or a good thing.

Regards

Felix

ILS...nice thought but hell would have to freeze over before PM got his head out of his arse and realised that experienced (BOH) staff are more important to an airline than ex cabin crew/ticket desk staff trying to run a once very experienced well run Operations Department.

Anyone looking at taking a job in Leeds will have their work cut out for them, dealing with Crew who dealt with a competent & professional Ops team, who themselves cannot see the point of moving and losing the majority of staff in such departments.

I am surprised PM has not thought of moving Ops/Crewing out to India...a lot cheaper to employ staff...and probably service no worse than can be expected from any new department in Leeds! Unless this is a question they ask you at interview "would you be prepared to relocate to India?"

VEEPS... I'm sure OPSCAT was not doubting your proffesionalism, but as I'm sure you can appreciate, those of us at BOH who are the current team can only forsee problems when we are forced out of a job we enjoy and have to hand over control of 'our airline' to inexperienced personnel.

This is no detriment to anyone who takes up the jobs at LBA, you may be know Ops, but we know Jet2 Ops.

Best of luck

Edited to add... you may be unemployed from June, but we will be unemployed from December !

If any of the crewing staff change your mind and go to lba you too could be a director....
Oh great pilot's wives...do they realise how much work they will have to do...it's not a question of sitting with your knitting, drinking cups of tea and doing crossword puzzles all shift!!!

Jobs appear without any advertisement and the first people know about them is when a flyer turns up on the notice board to welcome person to the company!!! := Just wanted to know if anyone knew if it was legal or not.
We know about the ops jobs in Leeds currently cant fit them all of the notice board as not alot of current staff have taken up the offer to cross to the darkside.

Perhaps management are attempting to cover their ar$$es, especially as they know the level of interest (not) in the re-location offer amongst current staff.
Also, maybe they are hoping that by filling Ops with loads of 'newbies', at least one or two of em will know enough to be able to keep Op going !

The crewing side of things is a prity tight ship at moment. Most crews more than happy but not sure for how long. Alot depending on move to LBA but not looking great on the crewing side of things at moment. Not sure if the Rostering Manager position will be available depends if the current one decides to relocate. Package on offer I would think will be around what you are on now.
