small add-on.....

bond kicks in after final line check, which is about 3 months after joining, so really the bond is for 39 months....

Anyone left & not paid, do they chase them all over the world for the money, or can you pay $250pm.............

Here's the latest skinny on the bond. If one has little or no Boeing FMS time it is $36000 US for three years. If one has extensive FMS widebody Boeing time (since EK is doing Boeings now) then the bond reduces to $12000 US for three years, reduceable by $333/month for three years. Don't know if you are chased around the world, but they will take the money out of any retirement scheme that EK has contributed or any other monies owed you by the company.

Now compare that with Singapore. If you are not type rated the bond is $40000 for five years eight months and when you arrive for training, that money has to be deposited in a Singapore bank. NOT reduceable by anything until the contract is completed.

All this info from guys arriving at EK and Singapore in the last month.
