when i flew the route last year it was a 747-400. IFE was usual virgin seat back multi channel. food the usual economy fare. can get a bit rowdy if there are a few hen and stag parties.
good views of the rockies on the way over the USA if the wx is good.
McCarran is close to the strip, so taxi transfers are relatively cheep.
have a great time.

Hi

Thanks for that info, really appreciated a lot !
How many meals or refreshments do you get as it is an 11 hour flight there.

hello mike,
as far as i remember it was a breakfast about an hour in, lunch and then a sandwich or roll about an hour before landing.
you can get drinks from the galley most of the time.
the immigration line at vegas was as quick as anywhere i have found in the USA.
cheers,
john.

VS only fly one type of aircraft out of LGW - 747-400.

They've got the older IFE and IMHO are a little ropey, not like the aircraft out of LHR.

There should be three meal services - one just after take of, one before landing and a snack service in between with drinks runs in between.

Have a good time!

There are 2 ex-LHR a/c that are now in the LGW fleet, G-VTOP and G-VAST. These have a much better IFE than the other 5 ex-Alitalia a/c.

Just hope you get one of those 2 !!.
