Hi all. Now I'm sure this has been discussed before but can't seem to find it in the 'Search'. :8

So why do heli pilots sit on the right and fixed wing sit on the left? Is it because a heli pilot is helping balance out tail rotor roll and a fixed wing to counter torque effect from his propeller? :hmm:

I know there are A/C where the pilot sits on the left, but just in general.

Thanks :ok:

It all stems from the days when Pontius was a pilot.

Fixed-wing (particularly airline) pilots think they are God.

Helicopter pilots know that we are lesser beings, so we sitteth on the right hand of the almighty.
