Hi

I´ve got a ATPL with 6000+ on jet and would like to make a longtime dream come true. What benefits do i have from my previous experience on fixed wind to obtain a PPL (H) or if i want to go for CPL(H). I have no professional ambitions, just for fun...
Have you got any infos about a good and affordable school. I think the training here in Germany will be expensive. What about JNB or LAX.
Thanks a lot in advance

If you do the training in Germany, you'll have to pass 3 subjects;

- aerodynamics
- aircraft general knowledge
- emergency procedures

I think you need 30 hours with a flight instructor and 10 hours solo. A school with a very good reputation in Germany is http://www.motorflug.com

If you would like to do the training in the states, I can recommend the following schools : http://www.hillsboro-aviation.com and http://www.heli.com

It's simple to convert the faa license in a jaa license if you have 100 flight hours. You'll have to pass 2 subjects; air law and human performance. And you have to pass the flight test, of course.

For a jaa ppl-h in Germany you can expect round about 18.000 euro
