WOW - it's amasing to see how some people get called within a matter of weeks and others wait years! I have been applying for years now (3+) and still no smell a call. 2500 TT, ICAO ATP, Instructors rating etc, 1000+ turbine...I also want an interview:{

Anyway, good luck to those going for the interviews - all the best:ok:

I am really happy for you guys!

Like I said, I have about 2500, and from other resources it looks like 3000+ is the bench mark. The only thing keeping me going now...

Good luck

Does anybody know if B1900 time (P1 on type) is good enough, or should I consider something bigger by now. I have about 500 P1 on type and have been applying for quite a while now...

Later:ok:

Skytort,

My guess with CX is get on a jet ASAP. The bigger the better.

BBB,

What you're saying is so right, and I think it counts for almost any other company. As we all know, it is just very hard to get a job on a jet. I think the quickest way would be to go for a payed rating, but I don't really want to do that unless I REALLY have to. I am still young, so I can take advantage of my age.

Some personal friends of mine have made it in there with very little experience on ATR's/1900's etc, so it is quite difficult to determine what the exact path would be to follow.

I have my heart set with these guys so I have to make it somehow!!

Cheers

Were you at the Air Inc seminar in ATL? Just wondering what your background is. RJ capt maybe?

You are correct in my background. I am in fact an ATL based CRJ capt.

However I was not able to attend the Air Inc. seminar. I was working. I do have a few friends and coworkers who were there.
