This is to let you know PPRUNERS, what is happening in HALA AIR a domestic airline In Sudan Owned by HAMRA AIR / RAK AIRWAYS Of Ras Alkhaima.
In September 2004 the Airline was established in Sudan and got its AOC , The capital was shared by the government of RAS AL KHAIMA and a Sudanese business man who has other projects with the Arabs, I mean the same Arabs as they were not in a hurry to acquire their planes so they start leasing semi wet B733 and at a time they even lease A 320 to operate in domestic routes and at sometime god willing to go regionally and internationally, the operation went fine or at least looked like it was going fine but in 30th of April 2005 the management decided to stop leasing the airplanes and work on getting their own B733 to operate. One month after that they terminated the service of some staff and CC as to cut down the cost. A long hard negotiation was going on with Hamilton I think, to buy a 733 from them, they even went so far to send one of the Sudan Civil Aviation engineers to approve the air- worthiness of the airplane to register it in Sudan. Also a two set of cockpit crew were sent to Malaysia and got their training. So the matter of the company starting operation has just few steps to begin.
Well there was time when the HAMRA AIR bought HALA AIR entirely and there was a letter Issued to the Staff to let them know.
After on year of all this the owner and the Sudanese Partner Decided to End their partnership, and neither of them wants HALA AIR so they put the matter in the hands of lawyer to liquidize the company. This guy is well known lawyer of his ways needless to talk about these ways since we are in Africa !!!
What is happening is this lawyer is trying to escape the employee’s end of service Benefits and they are stalling the payments , not only that, but the 2 months salary which was not paid.
Sorry for the long story and thanks for your time, but the same management/ guys are planning to launch RAK Airways to operate sometime this year. My advise is, Think so many times before even applying to them.

Just another sad story of the poor pilots and associated staff being shagged by the unscrupulious management.
To the management/owners......a quote from "Bruce"

"Hope your chickens turn into Emu,s and kick your Bloody Dunny down"......ensharla.
