View Full Version : Price of gas dropped by 33.3% in Saudi

Not really aviation but affects those of us who live in Saudi - the King, bless his heart, today cut the price of gas at the pump by a third. Gas now costs 60 halalas a liter - a liter of water will still cost you 1 Riyal (100 halalas). Maybe I've got it wrong - I don't believe the numbers, but thats 60 cents a gallon for the Yanks or 9 pence a liter for the Brits. Hey there's downsides to living in the sandpit, but filling up ain't one of them.

And I think diesel is coming down from 35 halalas (6 pence) a litre
Sorry but i wanna gloat....... :)
Filled my GMC truck this evening for approx 8 GBP.... not bad for 100 litres~!
But i have to admit that the price of beer has reached $24 per litre :(

Yes, diesel has come down from 35h to 25h (from about 0.06 UK Ponds to 0.04
Yes, I'm gloating too :E Fill up my Massey 3060 for about a fiver!!!!

But..where can you drive to? I know off down a rolling mountain road to Tuscany, Cumbria, The Southern Alps, Niagara, The Grand Canyon, a pub? Aaah, just woke up!
Oh well you can always use it to power the still! :ok:
