Buster,
This is because ( apparently) the total asset pooling court case is still being heard.
There is another , hopefully final Federal Court hearing in May regarding total asset pooling.
This payment seems to be an additional one funded by recent aircraft and assset sales together with 11 million from the approval of AAe asset pooling by it's creditors.
Once the painfully slow Federal Court process is complete, and hopefully finds in favour of the administrators, we can expect a much larger payment more in line with what we were told to anticipate.
Go to http://www.ansett.com.au/ , click the staff information icon and key in the generic password - anpeople. This will give you access to all the administrator's notices to staff - the latest being on the 27th of April.
