Sad to report that Harold Thomas, founder of the Camden Museum of Aviation and the doyen of the Australian aviation preservation movement, passed away recently. Herewith his funeral notice from the SMH.

April 13, 2006, peacefully at Bethany Aged Care, late of San Souci. Dearly loved husband of Verna (deceased), much loved father of Jenny, George (deceased) and Alan, much loved grandfather of Nicole, Kristina, Donna and Ryan, great-grandfather of Simon, Amy, Brody and Jett.
Aged 88 years.
Dearly loved and always in our hearts.
HAROLD's family and friends are invited to attend his funeral service to be held at Woronora Cemetery, Linden Street, Sutherland, on Thursday (April 20, 2006), at 3.30 p.m. Please meet at the Administration Office.
