Hello all,

I was browsing Airliners.net a few weeks ago and saw that Fischer Air Polska was about to receive their third B757. Now I see that the same aircraft has been re-painted into Air Italy livery. Does anyone know why Fischer Air didn't take the aircraft having gone through all the work to find an aircraft, have it put into their colors, and then drop it?

Here are links to pictures of the aircraft in Fischer Air and Air Italy livery.

From what I've heard, their financial situation isn't the best.

Thank you for your replys. A recent photo on Airlines shows Fischer's Air Boeing 757 operating on April 8th, two weeks ago.

Does anybody know who owns the company?

"The airline was established on 26 July 1996 and started operations on 30 April 1997. It was founded by Vaclav Fischer, the owner of the Czech tour company, Fischer. It was owned by the K&K Capital Group (75%) and Vaclav Fischer (25%). In 2005 it was rebranded as Charter Air to avoid confusion with its new Polish charter subsidiary, Fischer Air Polska. This followed the departure of the airline founder Vaclav Fischer"

Amazing what a Google search will come up with......
"Fischer Air Polska (FFP/Warsaw)has been taken over by Polish tour operator podroze.tv. It is expected to be rebranded and to add a fourth B757-200 to its fleet later this year"

This is about Fischer Air, not Fischer Air Polska. I guess this mistake had happened often, hence the re-branding of Fischer Air to Charter Air...

See Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fischer_Air)

This indicates they have three, but I can only see that they have two in their fleet.

Your suspicion on that they had gone bust GW76 might be towards Fischer Air (Charter Air). I can't see that Fischer Air (Charter Air) is still operating...
