I had a friend travelling on DJ from BN to TL on Good Friday. About 20 minutes out from TL, the pax were notified that due to a technical problem, the flight was diverting back to BN.

They were transfered to another aircraft and consequently arrived in TL about 5 or 6 hours after their scheduled arrival time.

Any word on the reason behind the diversion? I suspect it would be something that would have been a grounding item if they had landed in TL and given the limited/non existant maintenance facilities in TL, decided to divert to BN to get the problem rectified.

Sounds like a Thronomeister issue.

Hate it when the thronomeister goes pop... Where's the bad press? Closed for Good Friday, or is it only a good news day?

Either that or a death plunge. Not sure which.

The Captains DEU failed, as far as I'm aware. I suppose no spares or LAME cover in TSV would have been the reason for the diversion.....

Sounds more like it was a problem with the flux capacitor........
