I'm looking to rent a N-Reg R-44, for a project of about 100 hours, with possible 100 hours extension.

HillerBee, there are only two N-reg-UK-based R44s. N393N is in the Gamston area and the pole-conquering N369SB at Denham. Access to the latter via Heliair, I guess. There's also N999RL in Eire
