Hi Guys,

I am trying to get hold of information about the MD-83 in charter configuration. If anyone has any information or could suggest any web-sites, I would be grateful.

I am especially after seating plans, what the galleys are like etc

Thanks in advance

You could have a look at the following. Though not specifically "charter" layout and MD-80/82/88s as opposed to MD-83s, they should give you an idea.

Midwest Airlines McDonnell Douglas MD-82 (M82) (http://www.seatguru.com/airlines/Midwest_Airlines/Midwest_Airlines_MD-82_A.php)

Midwest Airlines McDonnell Douglas MD-82 Saver Service (M82) (http://www.seatguru.com/airlines/Midwest_Airlines/Midwest_Airlines_MD-82_S.php)

Midwest Airlines McDonnell Douglas MD-88 Saver Service (M88) (http://www.seatguru.com/airlines/Midwest_Airlines/Midwest_Airlines_MD-88_S.php)

Spirit Airlines McDonnell Douglas MD-80 (M80) (http://www.seatguru.com/airlines/Spirit_Airlines/Spirit_Airlines_MD-80.php)

hi there
I worked for two years for Spanair from 98 to 2000, and flew mostly on MD-83´.s.
Spanair typical layout used to be 170Y, row configuration 2-3 . am not sure if it has changed now. They use them on both charter as well as scheduled services. On the latter, there is a C class called "Avant" but seats used to be the same, only the curtain being shiftable fwds and aft to accomodate more or less Avant pax. In Avant the middle seat is left vacant on the three seats row.
Galleys (std config) was fwd near door 1R, and aft 2L next to the small service door in front of the left engine.
Why, if I may ask , your interest?
If you need more info I can look for it. Let me know. I have the old manuals still.
Regards.
