Part 2 RAF NCA Medical

Hi, I went for my part 2 RAF Non-Commissioned aircrew medical at Cranwell just over a month ago now and haven't heard a peep back yet. Does anyone know how long I will have to wait before I find out if I am medically cleared for service? Fingers crossed, my training is due to start in july! Thanks, Mumford.

Hello all, I have also recently completed my part two medical at cranwell for Non-Commissioned aircrew. However I still haven't been given a date for when my training would start so i'm not really sure where I stand? During OASC I was told that I have a heart murmour which is apparantly quite common. This in effect made me temporarily unfit until I have seen a specialist which I'm still waiting to get sorted out. Is that the reason why I would have not been given a training date? Is is safe to say that if you are invited down to take the phase two of the medical your virtually in unless they find something?

I had a slight murmur too and saw a specialist at Guys Hospital. I got the all clear from him and am now serving as NCA so don't worry too much about it. As for the Part 2 in general, if you hear nothing then you're probably ok. Good luck.:)

Cheers Jerry, i'm not too concerned about the murmour as i've been told by numerous people that they are very common and it shouldn't be a problem. However once that has been cleared up will i be offered a training place? i.e is that the only thing thats holding me back, or am i still not guaranteed to get in.
So jerry did you get a date for your training before you had seen the specialist?

I can't remember whether I saw the specialist before my part 2 medical or afterwards. I definitely saw him before I was given a joining date.

It was nearly 6 years ago, sorry I cannot give you a more concrete answer.
