I have been told by a flight training organization that I cant start my flight training (CPL conversion) until I hold a IAA class one medical (training to be taken in Ireland) I hold a UK CAA class 1 medical and have had a e-mail back from aero-med confirming that it will be excepted and is valid for a CPL issue. I was wondering if anybody out there has done a similar thing, and any pitfalls/advice. The training provider wants me to get written approval from the Chief Medical Examiner before I go any further?
