Back in the 1970's I remember watching a series about two french mirage pilots that I think was called "The Aeronauts".I have tried googling but without success.Any ideas?:}

I think that would have had to do with the "Chevaliers du ciel", Michel Tanguy, cartoon character out of Charlier's feather. Never saw the movie but I can remember the books "Les aventures de Michel Tanguy".

There were a few notable cartoon books at the time out of Belgium and France, Buck Danny was the other series also by Charlier and a co author. Placed in the USN whereas Tanguy was French Air Force. I seem to remember that the characters even met at some stage.

It was also dubbed into Afrikaans and shown in South Africa. Called "Mirage" IIRC.

I saw it too. The baddies always flew T-33's as I remember it.
