Percival Proctors

I am new to this site but not new to vintage aviation, I worked on percival airframes many years ago, but never had the chance to fly in one.
Is there a kind owner who would help me get up in one please?

Also is there anyone in the CO15 post code area who would be so kind as to offer me a ride in any right hand seat please

Dusty.. I don't know if there are any Proctors currently flying. However, there is one currently registered to somebody on your doorstep. Follow this link: http://www.caa.co.uk/application.aspx?categoryid=60&pagetype=65&applicationid=1
Now type in "Proctor" in the "Aircraft type or name" box. Click the first registration to appear...

Nice to get a reply from you, The owner of HTE is a friend of mine but it will be some years before he will get her airwothy.
RM221is a lovely example & is still airworhty at Biggin Hill along with a Mk111 G-AYLF,
G-AKIU is under restoration in Yorks. & hopefully should fly late this year.
I am seeking pics. of KIU & HTE,--- if anyone has any I would be most gtrateful.

Good to see the upainted 'JU 87', she was to be used in the 1984 film 'The Battle of Btitain' but was not stressed for the dive angles needed therefore radio-controlled models were used,--- anymore Proctor pics. out there ????

I often saw LJF, IWA, OGE NXR flying in formation with 'Prentice PPL & Fairchild 'Argus' in the 1970s, & visit 'Cobaircraft' in April 1984.
OGE last flew in 1982 & I think is still lying falornly in the hangar at Biggin

I think 'IWA was the silver RAF-schemed Proctor that came to grief at La Ferte Alais in the '80s... I'm sure the wreck was still dumped there when I visited in 1987.

She crashed at LeTerte in 1984 due to pilot error, the wreck was reputedly rescued by the Salis collection but as yet I have yet to confirm this, as 24 yrs have passed we must now resume her to be 'history' ---- another sad loss.
