The Jeremy Kyle show in ITV1 today is asking for anyone obsessed with t'internet to get on the phone to go on their next show.

Does anyone know of anyone who uses the internet too much ? Or is obsessed with any site in particular? Does your partner stay up all hours talking to random strangers? Is it taking over your life?

Hmm. Now where could Mr Kyle find any such candidates? Surely no-one uses t'internet for more than 30 minutes a day do they?? :\

Six :8

No, that description doesn't ring any bells with me :8  Can't think of anyone, certainly not myself, who fits the bill.

Cheers

TV and Internet? They just don't mix.

This morning on BBC Breakfast a storyline about the uptake in broadband. It was going ok until the closing lines:

"With all the viruses and spam on the internet you have to remember that broadband is always connected - even when your PC is switched off" CUE footage of PC being shut down.

A TV programme discussing t'interweb? It'll never work. TV people stay over there, cyberdudes over there, and I'll go out and get some fresh air.

I watched a bit of that tosser this morning. Keremy Jyle or something?
Who does he think he is? Needs a good smack to the mouth, does he!
I can just imagine him once being the school grass. "It was him, Miss"
Tosspot.

So for that very reason, i wouldn't want to go on the Keremy Jyle show.
I'd also like to admit, that i hardly ever watch morning TV, except when Phil and Fern and Trisha are on.

Eh, what was the question again?

Does anyone know of anyone who uses the internet too much?

What's the internet?:ooh:

It would take nuclear Armageddon to keep me from using the internet. Hang on, no it wouldn't. The internet was designed to survive nuclear war wasn't it, or was that just the military version?! :8

It's only an obsession if you say it is. Right? :O

30 mins?!? What can anyone do in 30 mins?!? Takes almost that long simply to read in. . . then find what threads need repl . . are worth a mere glance.
Naaahhh . . I'm with lexxi, I can give up any time I want.
:hmm:

Isn't the Internet some sorta lingerie . . ?

I can't stop downloading music.
Just the other day, I downloaded 23 concertos for string quartets by Mozart
and the 9 symphonies by Beethoven.

The one thing that is good about internet dating, is that a lot of the women have good ideas on how to cook rabbits.

30 mins no way ..................not me:p I have no obsession don't like the stuff it smells like something my granny used to sprinkle behind her ears.... oh sorry you mean obsession as in using sites, using the web too long. Well somehow my comp just seems to log itself on to this site, can't stop it it just does and then that cup of coffee appears and I just seem to sit and start to read and post and :O

Maybe I need help............ I blame Danny you know it is all his fault, he should have stuck to flying planes ;)

But at 0200 when you can't sleep it is a great place to be when the bed seems an empty place

Not sure if obsessed is the right word - but - I spend much of my working day sat in front of my laptop with pretty much unrestricted access to anything I wish (within reason), and late evenings are usually spent on a small number of sites or chatting on MSN...... however, my annual fortnight in Spain is bereft of internet access, and I don't miss it one jot.

I'm hoping that this makes me un-obsessed (is that a word?).
