Yes - suddenly there are lots and lots of (old) positions all suddenly available with the added benefit of new AWA's. But what's will be the go in a restrained market place? Merely an expensive recruitment exercise to get the old boys back on reduced terms or should we watch out for the equivalent of Dr Patel doing our air traffic control stuff. Nah couldn't happen could it Minister. And I understand that in an industry that barely had enough specialists to feed the "process" animal, never mind move ahead, many specialist type positions have been combined at the rate of even five into one. Hope CASA is keeping a watchful eye on safety processes etc.

Careful now GR; don't overdo it or you could end up with a holiday in a little room with no windows. One little mid-air and you just never hear the last of it.

......and don't blame me - I didn't vote for em! All this for the fictional stability of mortgage rates. The clever country - I wonder sometimes.

CASA is not capable of regulating Airservices. CASA is too busy sacking people with a technical background and replacing them with people fresh from industry with broader skills. So broad in fact that they don’t actually need any aviation knowledge!

Management has been sure to create an atmosphere of fear and intimidation so no one is willing to say no to anyone about anything. You should see the exemptions in the pipe.

Airservices could do anything it liked; CASA barely has the capability to notice
