There was a Sea King, presumably from Chivenor, out this afternoon at Lynmouth in truly awful conditions, low cloud on the tops, windy, <1km vis below cloud. It was transiting East to West 1/4 mile offshore, low level.

Anyone any idea what it was up to?

Yes, tres drole, Twisted Rigging. One of the regular contributors to this forum is a Sea King pilot at Chivenor. He might fill us in. Or maybe not, for reasons of operational security! Crab?

I was on leave today so I don't know if they had a job or not but I would presume so since we don't tend to train much at Lynton and Lynmouth. The crew were probably returning from the job low level round the coast to get back to Chiv.
