View Full Version : AN-12 Vega Airlines in Toronto today

Vega Airlines LZ-VEC, an Antonov 12 is parked at the infield cargo area at Toronto and well positioned for taking photos. Only the second AN-12 to come to Toronto I believe. Also curious what the reason for the visit could be.

Flew from Ostend on Friday (I think) via Shannon and Gander.
What and when was the other An-12 at Toronto and what did it bring in/take out?

The other AN-12 that visited Toronto was from Antonov Design Bureau last year. Actually I must retract the bit about the second visit of an AN-12. Looking at airliners.net, it seems that Vega is in Canada about once a year (2003, 2004 and 2005 as well). Perhaps an annual company outing :D

I know there was an An-124 in there today, but that has now departed.
