Co-Pilot Jobs reserved for Indian Citizens.... Government Rule.... End Of Story

If you have enough experience for a DEC, then contracts are possible

I would submit my details to the major contract companies such as Parc aviation, Contractair and Directpersonnel, as well as IASCO and Hawaian Aviation. They will contact you if they can use you. Most of the Indian airlines require type on the aircraft they fly including 500 hrs in type, with reency of experience within 6 months. But I think if you meet the first two requirements, they might overlook the third, depending on how bad the need is. Right now if you have all three requirements then you can get a job quite easily.

Hey Robson
Tough on u mate about your present company. Like Nevrekar says do try all the head hunters but with your background u shouldnt have a problem really. Do give Spicejet and Air India Express a try. Have a go on their websites. Cheers

With a TT of over 1000 hours you certainly stand a chance for an interview.... provided

If your family is from India then as per any other country there'll be ways to become an Indian citizen based on the relationship etc.... dunno how hard the process is going to be, could be a nightmare in itself !! You'll have to contact your local Indian Consulate for this

Also remember on top of the citizenship, you'll have to convert your FAA CPL to a DGCA one.... this takes generally around 6 months to a year !! of exams, flight testing and battling around the DGCA office.....

Looks like a long shot !!

Why not try Kenya ?!?! or any other country that way which'll give you immediate working rights

Good news for those guys looking for a F/O position in India. DGCA has passed a regulation permitting foreign F/O's to fly but only on ATRs for the moment. Wont be long before they are permitted to fly jets too. Hope it doesn't saturate the job market for Indian wannabes.

Would someone who is a DEC with Jet or Sahara in India please contact me.

I am in discussions with one of the contract agencies and I want additional information about lifestyle. The contract agency tells me that they cannot refer me to any of their "contractees" due to privacy regulations.

Please contact me at palmer459475 @ bellsouth.net.

Thank you. I look forward to hearing from you.
