I am looking to buy a Grumman Tiger AA-5B for private use and am in discussions with an owner. Does anyone have any insights or comments about these aircraft? I am especially interested in things I should look out for – both operationally and from a maintenance point of view.

Many thanks

The Tiger was one of the first A/c to have laminated wings containing the fuel tanks....check the trailing edges to see if has been riveted...

Check for corrosion on that big round wing spar. a very exxy fix if it has any, and they are known for it.

Bonded, not laminated. There's a big difference.
And actually the Traveller had them long before the Tiger came along.
