Origin Pacific CEO Dallas Hay has announced he has resigned and is headed back to Australia. He will stay in the roll until the 19th of May and then god only knows who will become the new CEO....Ralph Norris maybe?
One can only wonder how many CEO's they can go through, surely the board must address the problem here....Bob Inglis?:{

Gotta ask...

This has to be a rather small company as it certainly is not on the radar screen here.

Seems to be a few things going on in Nelson. Good luck to the guys and girls down there.

Has Origin finally turned a corner?....or is this the start of bad things to come?
:uhoh:

Just another changing of the guards by the sounds of things. Its the usual 18 month C.E.O. changing which results in Mr Inglis taking charge until he can find someone else to play puppets with.

From what I can tell, Origin seem to be operating fairly stably after their recent down sizing. There is definitely a place in the market for them, and they continue to offer routes that Air NZ Link don't, like Wanganui - Nelson, and Palmerston - Nelson.

They are hiring new pilots at a steady rate, so let's hope they're able to keep it in the black!

Btw, they haven't operated metros for several years.

The Palmy-Nelson sectors are probably going to be stopped somtime in the near future as are the Hamilton-Nelson sectors. All because AirNZ are looking at starting up services on these sectors and Origin will not be able to compete. Just like the Hamilton-Christchurch service that Origin were supposed to do.

There are two Metro's in the Origin paint scheme that do freight and the odd pax service. They are both operated by Air Chathams, one is owned by Origin.
