Hi thereceiver2004.

Flying in Greece is challenging. ATC is generally ok but not at the same level as in the UK or Germany. It is most comparable to Italy and Spain.
The airport conditions are challenging mostly due to wx effects in association with the terain surounding the airports. E.g. at Rhodos island with wind from 110-180 degrees at more than 15 kts our airline policy is to divert due to extreme windshear and turbulence. Most Greek airports have local dangerous wx effects. Iraklion, Samos, Corfu, to name but a few. At Thessaloniki and Kavala fog is not rare.
The terain in the mainland of Greece is for the most part mountainous with the highest peaks at 2500 and 3000 meters. Military activity is intense.
I hope to have answered a few of your questions.
The best of luck to you.
