Yet another recent announcement about the launch of Afrijet flights to Europe. Recall that a similar 'grand' announcement was made through the media a year ago when it was announced that Afrijet would take delivery of Airbus A330 and MD-80 aircraft for flights from Nigeria to Madrid and the West Coast.
Not only had this not materialized, there was silence for a whole year and now, a claim of a May start-up and a link-up with a 'European' airline called European Airways, which will carry Nigerian travelers further from Lyon and Madrid to other European destinations.
There is no evidence to suggest European Airways is currently functional. Furthermore, a Google search result suggests European Airways to be bankrupt. The airline as well as its president Mr. Sabatoni are being pursued for millions of euros... This is according to this website (in French):

There was a recent advert in Flight International for 737-800 pilots for an operation based in Nigeria, flying to Spain and the Middle East. Any info anyone?

What is happening also to ARIK and Nazia? There has been so much fuss about them but we are yet to see anything.

By the way,is it now goodbye to IRS and Fresh Air? Is spaceworld flying the Kano route on behalf of IRS or on their own?

Fresh Air is still hanging on barely, still flying to maiduguri for someone and doing peace keeping charters, IRS wweeeellllllll i was told that they are expecting a 737 but a couple of their pilots told me they are to go on sim for the F100, but you know the system till the Aircraft is on ground before you can really say anything.
