Had Pannel Interview today. Think it went well, but you never can tell. Interviewers were great. Made you feel relaxed, yet focussed.. Now the waiting game starts... Fingers crossed!!!

Good luck again to everyone going through the MAM process. Will keep ya posted!

Hi all,
I also had my panel interview today, the interviewers were lovely and did their best to keep me calm and relaxed. as you said steve one can never tell if they went good or bad.....I believe I did the best i could possibly do and am hoping that i will get a phone call in the next few days!!

Does anyone know what they think will be the next step? will we have to sit another interview? will we just get sent for our medicals? or get the dreaded email?

i hate the waiting game but if i get in it will all be worth the wait...;)

hey guys, good luck!!

i'm still doing the waiting game after my panel interview in syd last friday...:(

i guess no news is probably good news for the moment (no dreaded rejection email so far) but am eagerly awaiting a phone call, have no idea what is supposed to happen after this stage so i'm a bit in the dark.

Woo hoo! i finally got a call to let me know what is actually happening!! they basically just wanted to let me know that i am still in the game, and they will soon be starting reference checks. they're also sending me my medical forms, and i have to book in to get them done once i receive my forms.

nice to at least know what's going on!! my panel interview was on fri 17th, so hang in there everyone who's waiting to hear after panel interviews - they might just be a bit slow getting all the details sorted!!

GOOD LUCK TO ALL!!!!!@

Just curious, all who had panel interviews, were you called within 2 days as they promised or did it take longer! A friend hasn't heard & it has been 4 days since assessment day, I assume for her sake that means a NO! will they let people know by e-mail if you are unsuccessful??

I've been waiting and waiting since my panel interview in Dec 2005! You guys haven't seen nothing!:} I know I am shortlisted but the waiting game is really killing me too.

In the one-on-one interview, I was asked something like these(Sorry I can't remember exactly because it was looong time ago!! lol)

1. Explain when you did your job below standard and how you coped with it.
2. Explain when you did your job above standard and what you think made this happen.
3. Explain your customer service job experience. What kind of customer contact did you have etc.

Probably a couple more but I really can't remember. It was very relaxed and friendly interview with two Qantas/MAM flight attendants. It went on for 30mins I think.

Good luck guys, my fingers are crossed for you (and myself!):ok:

Hi everyone,
Its been a while since Ive been on here so please ignore my ignorance as to whats been happening! I also went to a MAM interview 2 weeks ago. Got a call back the morning after the group assessment and then had the panel. I havent heard anything yet, its been 1 week and a half. They didnt give me a time frame. They did call me wanting to know something to be able to do my security check so I guess Im stil in there with a chance!!!????? I hope so!
So Im still waiting, waiting, waiting! Those people who have heard how long was it before you were notified you had been successful? Was it through email or phone call?
Good luck everyone who had their panels, hope we all hear soon!

DesertCrew (http://www.pprune.org/forums/member.php?u=111568), I went through assesment, panel interview and medical check in Dec last year, sent off the papers in the early Jan, then got a letter saying that I'm shortlisted in the mid Feb.

I haven't heard anything from them since then. I think you're very highly considered at the moment otherwise they wouldn't ask you for security check, I think. :hmm:

I had my panel last week. At the end of the interview I asked them when we will be notified. I was told within 2 weeks. It hasn't even been a week yet so everyone should be patient and pleased they have't received any rejection notification. I've heard some people have already received rejection emails so no news is good news.

Also remember security checks are being undertaken and there has been a backlog due to the Commonwealth Games in Melbourne etc etc

Goodluck everyone
Hope to join you in the sky:ok:

Hey!

Guys, gigs is right, however, it's your choice. This is the only way to fly for QF, if you're waiting for full time to be offered rather than casual, you have no chance. If you want to fly for QF, then take the MAM position. At least there will be a chance of going full time eventually. Remember gigs before your new EBA you had no guarantee and no chance whatsoever of going full time, atleast with your new EBA there is a light at the end of the tunnel for those wanting it, you're a step closer than you were before. By the way gigs, what contract are you going to choose? were you employed on the original contract A or employed on B? I am just curious as to what you'll do and what the talk is amongst casuals?

Good luck to all of you who are doing your medicals, we've all played the waiting game but it's worth the wait.

OZcabincrew, agree with what you are saying. If you want to fly for QF, it really is your only option other than Career Progresion with Jet* or QF Link.

You also can only really go into this knowing that going F/T may take a hell of a long time (if ever), but atleast you can enjoy doing what is a great job in the meantime, that being Flying!

Have a great day...

Cheers,

Steve.
