Right........got a boring, run of the mill, same old same old day ahead of you. Let the dice decide for you.

Not a new concept (than you Mr Rhinehart), but give it a try. All you need is a six sided dice and a sheet of paper. Write down the numbers one to six, and the choices or possible outcomes for you.

Mine this morning was:

1: Go to work
2: Stay in bed and eat ice cream all day.
3: Beer for breakfast (which would also make me unable to go to work)
4: Buy a new car
5: Go to work but not speak to anybody all day
6: Go to work and pretend I was a Mexican.

Number One came up.

Feel free to share your lists.

So it's smiling a coy smile while dressed in blouse and undies.
Wonder what you've been up to?

For those that read the book, you'll remember that some of choices were at very much opposite ends of the spectrum. There were some very pleasurable outsomes and some outright uncomfortable outcomes:

1. Walk up to stranger in a bar and buy him/her a drink
2. Walk up to stranger in a bar and demand they buy you a drink.
3. Start growing a beard/leg hair/armpit hair.
4. Shave your head
(and taking TnT's example)
5. Get dressed properly ie not just blouse and undies
6. Go to work dressed only in blouse and undies

:ok:

(Lon, I haven't seem that program, but what sort of "decisions" are being made by the dice? IE - are there really hardships that may be the outcome, like "Spend the week with your mother-in-law"?)

Would you believe it?! I couldn't find any dice. I don't even have a Monopoly or Conquest in the house. :{

I found some sugar cubes but they were oblong.

Shame my 2 year old HP officejet d145 all-in-one printer/scanner/fax isn't more of a cube shape though. I'd have enjoyed rolling that about a bit. For all the good it serves as an (expensive) paperweight these days...

Well I tried the Tarnished dice (die?) and in 18 rolls it gave me six 4s.

So odds on:
Jerricho will buy a new car, shave his head and sleep with his MIL (in a tent)
Rushton will be smelly
TnT will help somebody
I'll drink a Chimay brown (did that...)
and Pigboat will shovel snow.

I like this game. Can we play again tomorrow night?

Yes, The Diceman was a great book. Word of caution to anyone, especially after reading the book, who thinks to try it - the author was right when he said that it was a book which would change one's life. That may not suit everyone....
