The wholesale price of gas deliverable today quadrupled to as much as 255 pence a therm due to supply fears.

So with consumer prices already up by 25%+ in the last couple of months it looks like we will see another massive rise shortly

due to supply fears.

Does the phrase "Awash with gas..." sound familiar to anyone?

Here's a clue......Stated in the House of Commons.

Another clue.....By a Labour Minister.

Feckin Labour Government lies (or unbelievable incompetence....or both) exposed yet again.

I am old enough and daft enough to expect that the British Government's
prime responsibilities include:- Securing our borders, and ensuring the
lights and heat are not switched off through shortages.

Wrong on both counts with this load of wasters!! :ugh:

It looks like my deal with British Gas to hold last November prices until 2010 was a good move.

No, it effects Everyone! do you think transport companies will just absorbe the price increase? and lower their profits just because there nice? NO, everything transported by road will go up as the cost of fuel goes up! fuel for farm equipment will rise, so does the price of food products..... there is NO section of society that doesnt suffer for the price increase...
