Current bid, at 1800Z Sunday is 99 cents on my machine. I can empathise with you though, as you have been ripped, should you win.

You could whip the instruments out, and build a replica aircraft round them.:}

Even if the instruments are waterproof, won't they be uncomfortable under your feet?

He's new to ebay, posted at another site asking for advice on how to sell. He wants $165.00 and everyone said to start with a low opening price, so he did. :} No one said anything about a reserve price, tho. :}

Let's see--$5 shipping and $6 for batteries (batteries not included), should be pretty valuable once it in arrives in the 'Peg. OTOH, in 4 days you will certainly be outbid, somebody in this wide world needs a display like this.

Never used Ebay, though a while back did quite a few 'car boot' sales. The good stuff never sold (at any price) whilst the absolute tat was fought over (often being snatched-up by other stall-holders (who no doubt marked it up and made vast profits).

I saw the headline and was sure it had something to do with sitting on a toilet with no paper handy.

(newspaper or toilet paper)

Thread drift.

Think I've found the ultimate idiot on eBay.

I frequently bid on stuff for a friend who is a classic car nut. He asked me to bid on an old "Automatic Mercedes" being sold by a first-timer (no feedback of course).

This seller worried me a bit from the off - the auction finished on Saturday pm and yet he was asking for a deposit "within 48hrs"! Even better, he had managed to register without giving a proper postal address, as I discovered when we won the auction.

I emailed twice over the weekend but didn't get a response until Monday because he "could only connect from work", then my friend phoned him and promised to collect for cash the next Sunday. Two days later I received an email complaining that he had not received a deposit cheque. I pointed out that, even if it did arrive before my friend, it would still be with him, uncleared so what was the point.

The 'best' bit - my friend made a 150 mile round trip, with the cash, to discover the automatic (he only wanted the gearbox) is in fact a manual!

What can you do with people like that?
