Skyliner reporting AA ordered 10 ATR72-500s, delivery starting this year.
I take it this will be for expansion, not replacement? If so,what new routes are they planning? Any information welcomed from those in the know!

A very big order they must have some routes up there sleave.

Thats a lot of crews to find as well

Ten aeroplanes with an average of six to eight sectors a day that means a big expansion to the net work.

Could this be Baby Ryanair in making??:ok:

10 new ATR's to replace the 'second hand' fleet?

Buy them at a discount price, then immediately sell them at list price to a leasing firm and pay full price rental for the new airframes, but pocketing the difference between purchase price and lease based value? This is called short term profit. Why do you think that the likes of the Orange and Harp's are purchasing huge fleets and posting profits?

Only doing what the UK Lo-Co's have been doing for the last 4 years?
