Three people have been injured after their helicopter crashed into trees in Erasmuskloof near Kloof Medi Clinic in Pretoria. Pretoria - Three people were injured when their helicopter crashed into trees in Erasmuskloof near Kloof Medi Clinic in Pretoria on Thursday, said police.
Spokesperson Inspector Lucas Sithole said they suspect the pilot made an emergency landing. "One passenger was seriously injured, the pilot and the other passenger escaped with minor injuries," said Sithole.
Civil Aviation Authority aircraft accident investigator Eshmael Mokoena said the cause of the accident was unknown.
"We are still conducting an investigation that will take five to six months," he said.
He said the helicopter took-off from Kloof Medi Clinic and crashed onto nearby trees.
The three men were admitted to the same hospital and were later discharged, said Mokoena.
