Does anybody fly or own a Piper Cheyenne or similar - Could you give me a guestimate of ops costs annually?

Certificates
insurance
maintenance
hangerage
etc..

dllcooper, its nearly impossible to answer that question...

hangarage...at what airport - varies greatly

maintenance...how much do you wanna fly per annum, how old is the aircraft when you buy it etcetc

insurance...depends what type of operation, what level of experience have the drivers, what training will they have...

However, one can very very roughly guess how much an hour would be if you know what a commercial operator takes for it.

IŽd first try to figure out what transport needs you have. Then ask for specialists advice.

Plus, aren't their two types of Cheyennes?

A PA-31 and a PA-42.

I'd imagine a PA-42 would be much more expensive to operate.

actually there are 7....that I know of.
the 1 (PA31T-1
the 1A (PA31T-1)
the 2 (PA31T-II, was the ORIGINAL cheyenne)
the 2 XL (PA31T-IIXL)
the 3 (PA42)
the 3 A (PA42)
the 400LS (PA42-1000) (thats the Garretpowered rocket version)
Plus some conversion (from Canada?)
I guess we would be talking about the 1 or 1A ? These are not bad personal transports...have flown the 1A and the 2 many, many moons ago.
