Hey thanks for getting back. Just general info, what interview consists of, what the maths tests are like,(premature I know as only sent off application last night, but still interested) is there a mixture of Long haul and short haul for Junior Cabin Crew.
Thanks for any info given. Much appreciated.

well,

the interview consists of an intro about the company, followed by the maths and general knowledge 'tests' ( by the way take notes in the intro as this has all the answers to the general knowledge test) they both only have 10 questions each, pretty simple.

there is a definite mix of long and short haul for juniors, its not like other airlines where it depends on your length of service. Especially with the imminent arrival of our first 767-200. last year was a pretty terrible year for flyjet but it looks like things are definitely gonna improve this year, new planes new base etc.

pay is pretty good as well, but as with any airline ya gotta get the work to get the dough.

not sure what else to tell ya.

Good luck with the application and hopefully see ya online in a few months or so. feel free to ask anything else.

Hey Kendoll21,
Thanks for all the info, really great of you to fill me in.
If I get an interview I hope I can pass the Maths test:ugh: as flyjet seems like a good company to work for. Is there a lot of currency conversion on the paper?

Once again thanks for taking the time to give me this info.

hey crewboy,

from what i can remember there is only 3 or 4 conversion questions but its dead simple as they only ask you to convert gbp-eur and vice versa. its not really that hard.

There was 22 applicants on my assessment day and they hired 20 of them, the other two had holidays during the training period.

Plus, we are a good company to work for. were not massive but were big enough that the crews you work with do change but eventually you get to know everyone.

WERE ONE BIG FLYJET FAMILY:D

hey fra,

our nightstops are pretty good, hard to say how many we get each month cause they are constantly changing, ive had 1 4 day trip so far this month. But i had none last month cause was just doing bullets.

Hi Kendoll21,

Thanks again for all the info. One last question, I promise.
On the application form It asked if I could drive, which I dont.:ugh:
Do you think this would go against me as I realise that you have to be at Gatwick within 45 min?(shortest amount of time that I'v seen for any airline, but not a problem)
I came across an airline whilst making applications, that require you to be able to drive in order to gain employment as Cabin Crew with that company. Is it the same with Flyjet?
Listen to me, sounds like I have the job already and not even heard back from my application yet. Sorry! Just interested to know about the company and even if I dont get anywhere , least I know threre is another airline to choose if wanting to catch some rays in summer.
Thanks for your time .

hey crewboy,

being able to drive is not an essential requirement, its jus so they know whether they need to gain staff parking. i know loads of guys & gals at flyjet that don't drive.

As for the report time of 45 mins, are you sure thats correct? . cause the report time at the mo is 1hr with a 15mins courtesy from crewing for being called off standby and then it's 1hr 30mins for a rostered duty. i think someones telling you porkies, theres no way ANYONE would be able to report in 45 mins (especially on standby).

let me know when ya get a reply from your application. either reply to this post or pm me.

Is that why your punctuality on flights is so rubbish?! :}

The level of management does not help

yo speedbird,

if ya read it properly, im questioning the fact that it says 45 mins as that is INCORRECT!!!.

Yeah we had a pretty terrible year last year but things are definitely gonna improve this year. new base, new planes, more crew.
