Free Flight Simulator Download

I have been looking on the web and PPRUNE for a basic free flight Simulator program download. Something that is simple to use and where you can improve your IFR scan.

I am not interested in the whole Microsort Flight Simulators.

Any help suggestions would be appreciated.

Not exactly a panel scan simulator, but an excellent simple sim for IFR situational awareness improvement. Worth a play with!

Tim's Nav Simulator (http://www.visi.com/~mim/nav/) We need to catch up for that beer in Siddenay if you're still floating around there.

Go take a look on www.x-plane.com I think he has a demo of his mighty simulator. I think it limits itself to his home aerodrome and no joystick, but you get a mighty sim that eats MS for breakfast. More than good enough for practice.
