Anyone out there can assist ascertain some ball park hourly operating costs (FAA USA) for private ownership of a used helicopter with some limited business venture opportunites. Although costings are readily available for Schweizer and Robinson a turbine would be seem to be more beneficial in the long term

Taking the template below i'm certain there are folks out there who could populate the required fields with some sensible figures based on personal experience.

Feel free to offer any serious comments as appropriate if you feel you're well informed enough to do so!

To be honest, I don't think you can get insurance at any cost with that number of hours.

I got B206 insurance with 63hrs heli time, no increase on premium just a massive excess;)

I know a chap who bought a 1972 B206, and insured it Liability only for $5,500 per yr, All he had to do was 50hrs with an instructor, and bell school.

Screwed said it all....Anyway if your rich enough you dont need Insurance, Good Safety record, take your own chances.........Im talking of other than Liability...
Have a client that was told all this stuff until he mentioned that if the Helicopter was broken he would buy another, saved a bunch on Insurance, if you fit that bill, dont waste your time and money. Just go buy whatever you want..........

But did he have hull insurance?
