- 330 at 777 FOs
- minimum na kailangan this year = 360 pilots(sa bilang na ito tiyak magsasara na ang PAL)
- additional 1400 pilots total na kailangan hanggang makumpleto nila ang pagdating ng mga bagong eroplano.
- 900 hrs ang flight time limitation per year/ 100 per 28 days

Calling on Pinoys with other Airlines, Mga Bros. ! here's our chance to help our Colleagues in the Philippines, Malaki ang matutulong natin sa kanila. Lets give them and support them with all the informations we got from our present employers, Like EMIRATES, QATAR, ETIHAD, AIRLANKA, ASIANA, AIR DECCAN, etc.
This will be our way to counter this stupidity brought about this Private airline companies in the Philippines, daring to control the future of our own Families. I say, they dont have the Right.
With the Massive need of pilots around us, there is always an oppurtunity for everyone. Goodluck to all ! God Bless Us !:ok:

Cessna1052,

You're the greatest !!! I was actually thinking of going back and joining PAL because I thought they were a fair employer, but from what I've heard, this certainly puts everything on brakes.

Imagine, to re-issue the ATP license, you need a clearance from your employer. What a load of b.s. This will tell them where to stick their clearances and re-issue requirement of every 6 months.

Keep going bro.

Hey Guys, have you noticed on the Middle east portion of this forum that pilots from Emirates just keeps complaining. Ha ha, i've flown with some of this fellows and obviously most are Captains whom have been with EK for so many years, but still with all this complains it is still a better Company than what we have there back home. So, don't be discouraged:D come on:ok:

Yes,cessna1052. It's true. All i read in those threads are complaints from EK crew. Well, what's the real score?
The way they sounded, it's not a good idea to join them...but you sound so different. But i'm sure as the saying(or song) goes...."It is better to light just one little candle..."

Hope they(complaints) don't drown your posts!

You know, i really dont know the real score. I only compare things which i have experienced from my previous company from where i am now. And honestly, there is a big difference and this things i really enjoy of sharing. its a feeling that with Gods will, I am looking towards a better life for myself and my family. There are people who are just too picky, thats why i always tell some of the guys how much we get there back home, and they are so shocked. Whether they realized their blessings or not, i just dont care, the main point is My Whole Family is benefiting from all this, and if there is one on this world who would like to know how the picture is, i am one very willing to clear the haze for you.(no idea how much work or pay they get from their own country, but the point is, why go to Dubai if its worser?)

Hey guys, I'm really keen on EK. I believe the interview's quite tough, esp the tech and sim assessment. Anyone out there with some useful info? Also, curious to know, do they give you a second chance if you "dunk" those interviews?? Just how badly off are they right now?? Cheers! :ok:

Its not as tough as some Asian carriers, they don't ask tech question in the interview. Sim checks quite straightforward, everything will be provided on your arrival in dubai, including all profiles involved on the check.
No idea if they call applicants again for a second chance, as they told us during the interview that its just a one way ticket into emirates. Just how bad? no idea of what you're asking..how bad they operate? how badly they need pilots?or how bad their packaged is? can you state it more clearly. Goodluck to you :ok:

i just never knew the score of pinoy pilots in this forum!

initially, the exodus of pilots sounded like a green field opening up for me. i hold australian qualifications and thought that going home to the philippines with around 300 hours and an instructor rating would give me more avenues for work opportunity to start with.

hearing from you all who know what it's really like over there, i am now thinking twice. especially with the travel ban request, i wouldn't want to get stuck in the country should a better offer arise within the ban period.

please keep us posted!

MABUHAY!

GMA7s TV program "pinoy abroad" will be in Dubai on the 28th of March til April 7. I was called by one of their staff direct from the Philippines to my home in Dubai, and told me that they are planning to stage an interview to all Filipino Pilots working for Emirates.
If this push through We'll be on the better side of showing you how wonderful it is here for us, the Filipino pilots.
God Bless the Filipino Pilots!

I hate to say this Pinoys, but as good as the conditions in the UAE might be, compared with those in the Philippines, you are now successfully DEGRADING the EXISTING T's & C's of the workforce in Dubai.

Put the shoe on the other foot, how would YOU like it if Chinese went to the Phils and started telling their countrymen how GREAT the conditions in the Phils are (compared with China)?

As you are aware, Filipinos have the reputation as being the cheapest home servants in the world.
The truth is though, whomever employs them soon realises that the old saying of "You get only what you pay for." is very true.

If you don't want to be known as the whores of aviation, start to base YOUR salaries on the same as other nationals.

It seems that you've never been in the Philippines? Are you not aware that most of the Big businesses in the country are controlled by the chinese? even Philippine airlines is owned by a Chinese,And I believed that they did found out that indeed it is a better condition to be in the Philippines rather in China. So whats your point then? Are you telling us not to be happy on what we have right now? How can we base our salaries to your salaries, when in fact we don't get this pay back home.
How hard you look down to pinoys by saying that we are whores of Aviation, don't you know that you are just showing your racist color by stating such?! shame on you, unsatisfied:mad:   .

" Put the shoe on the other foot, how would YOU like it if Chinese went to the Phils and started telling their countrymen how GREAT the conditions in the Phils are (compared with China)? "

Well, you're about a hundred years late.... they are already there and running businesses

"As you are aware, Filipinos have the reputation as being the cheapest home servants in the world.

Are you trying to be a racist or is this a wind up ?

Cheap home servants eh ?
hmmmm..... I get the equivalent of 200,000 USD a year as my salary and I've been doing my job now for around 8 years. So, maybe I should ask for more then ? My boss would be very surprised if I said someone thinks I am priced cheaply. And my employer sure gets the service they deserve. They get what they pay for.

Now, maybe when you're ready we should just try and ignore you as there are more important things in this world than listening to your attacks on us.

If you are not satisfied where you are now and you think the comments about the conditions in UAE airlines are better than the airlines in the Philippines, then maybe you should move there and experience it yourself and maybe then you would have the right to even post your offensive comments here. You see, they are just stating the facts.

Wannabee needs help please
Hi there,

Just enquiring which airline in the Middle East would I be suitable for.

I have no jet time or even a type rating on a Boeing or Airbus ( can't afford it - have a young family).

ATPL
TT = 1500+
ME = 900+

Thanks everyone

Deltasix

Delta 6,

With the "equivalent of USD200,000 a year" as your salary, you can well afford to go on a Concorde simulator! Pek IS right - you haven't grown past the storybook stage. Get lost, boy! We don't need a pretender among our ranks.

HI'er,

The Chinese came in the 8th century, long before the Portuguese sailor and slave-trader Ferdinand Magellan (yes, he was Portuguese, not Spanish) set foot on the once pristine but still beautiful shores of the island-province of Cebu. Claiming the land in the name of his Spanish masters, the islands were condemned to suffer 400years of tyranny under the throne. But that's deep in my beloved country's rich and colorful past. Now, the Chinese have taken over much of the land (although there's a relatively small spanish presence along Ayala ave), driving me, C1052, and others away.

No, we are not and will never be whores; we refuse to prostitute ourselves to the bigotry you're trying to sow! But then again, assuming we were, as surely as our country was never a penal colony, I'm sure people like you would be no better.

Julie Andrews
22nd Mar 2006, 14:36
Oh but you see HI'er, the big difference is that MY ancestors were not the PUS of the earth. They were enslaved because they did not have the wherewithal to resist the conquistadores. The penal colony I referred to in my original post was exactly what it was - a ****hole where the scum of the earth were dumped so they could be segregated - just like garbage - from the rest of the world.

And you know, even the whores in Pasay know bad spelling when they see it - PHILIPINO? How come your wife doesn't? PWEH!

US$200,000 flying turboprops? Per year or per decade?

DeltaSix

Hang on, to those who think flying is my only job, you've got another thing coming...... I fly on a part-time basis and I work in finance management as my full-time job, and that is where I based my comment.
Now, If you think this is a an unreal situation then that's up to you. I am just trying to prove a point. I am not here to prove anything to you Julie Andrews so get lost !!!

A concorde endorsement ?...... have you ever thought that I might have a huge mortgage, taxes to pay, university loans, medical bills, and loans for my flying ?
Get real will you.
I don't even know why I'm discussing this with you.
Well, it stops here !!!

And Thermal Image, a turbo prop job for 200k ?.... you are way off the mark. You have misconstrued what I said in that post and linked it to what I've said here. I can only shake my head. Believe what you want. Geeezzz.......

Keep your cool people. I thought this was a place for debate and constructive ideas. We don't have to demean ourselves by resorting to insults and name calling. This way of communication won't accomplish anything.
