Several of you have posted many interesting posts, which I really appreciate. I have been fortunate enough to have been invited to Hong Kong for phase 2. Before I make the Mrs. any promises, I wanted to make sure - Is Cathay still inviting your Spouse to accompany you to Hong Kong? My interview was for a DEFO Cargo in the USA. Thanks in advance for the info.

I did the 2nd phase in november '05, DEFO. They didn't mention the fact that you can take your lady with you. I didn't take her, and passed. Some did take them along and didn't make.
I dont think it makes a difference if you take her for the DEFO at least.

Jut my guess.......is the spouse trip to HK for the 2nd interview just for those planning to live/base in HK?

When I attended phase 2 in Sept 05' Cathay would provide a ticket for your spouse but I do not think it was required for them to attend. That was for DEFO.

No certainly not beig picky but my wife is THE WORST traveller and a bigger seat might honestly make or break her decision.
Now if I can pry myself away from this message board to study for Phase 1...
