So no news on who is to crew the 737 AAe frieghters!

Current incumbent has apparently been informed thanks but no thanks.

No indication from the QF or AUSTRALIAN post ranks as to the preferred tenderer.

I would like to think that at least the jobs would remain in Australia.

The silence is deafening.

Can I hear sheep?

Look out boys I think that the EBA negotiations may just have got a bit tougher!

Jetconnect will be the operator and therefore provider of crews. By the time the modification of the aircraft is completed ZK regsitered aircrft will be able to be operated within Australia on domestic operations. The legislation is not far away from the Senate.

Looks like NJS will be stuck with the 146 freighters only.

Ex chairman of NJS is a director of AAE so a bit of payback there as well.

I know for a fact its not QF mainline, the beancounters at QF only wanted yearly contracts not longer thus it was lost. I'm not sure if it is Jetconnect but I wouldnt be surprised.
