Anyone know of any civil aerodromes in the UK which have Lead-in strobes as part of the Approach Lighting System?

Heathrow runway 23 used to have this system until it was decommissioned.

I asked our Senior Electrician about the system today, he tells me that, compared to standard approach lighting systems, they're more expensive to buy & maintain and require specialist supply systems, again increasing costs.
That could explain the lack of them in the UK.

There was an accident to a British-registered Cessna 310 in Germany (Frankfurt?) in the 1960s which, I believe, the AIB attributed to spatial disorientation from strobe lead-in lights. It seems that this is the reason why they have never been adopted in the UK, except for the anomaly of 23 at LHR.

Strobe lights are approved by the CAA as a "supplementary" approach light system, not as a primary aid as in the US. Therefore why would airports pay to include an additional light system?
