Cheap and nasty! Can't even understand it when parked on the ramp at JED. What is the matter with the owners/management of this so-called International Airport. Please rectify weather reporting to best US/UK standards as soon as possible. Seriously.

Poor show, you know.

I quit flying out of Jeddah last June...flew there starting in '78. It has ALWAYS been worthless...even worse than worthless, able to be mis-read. Complaints haven't worked for 25 years, and I expect another 25 years of potential mis-reading of QNH, wind, temp, vis. Sometimes Atis is 5-6 hours old. Idiocy; just has to be worked around.

So true. Best bet is Getting it off the BAH volmet on 128.8 or KWI on 126.625 if your coming from that direction but still, you shouldn't have to!

Riyadh's no better; they (Riyadh) always used to transmit a Volmet on 126.4 which was far more readable (before TOD) but that seems to have stopped this service recently.
