what is the consensus amongst the airlines who have introduced this type in terms of performance?

That they should have bought or leased the B777-300ER!!!!!

It can carry a shed load of freight! a long way. It's much better than the A340-300!

But so can a glider in comparison to an A343!!! Despatch reliability & fuel burn are much better with the 777-300ER!!!

Dispatch reliabilty? Bit of a misnomer isn't it Denzil, A340-600 and reliabilty !!! Sure a certain airline we know has claimed on its 3 year/60,000 mile warrenty a few times!!
