View Full Version : Anonther An12 goes in at Mbuji mayi DRC

Had an SMS that another An12 belonging to WDA and owned by Mr. Tim Roman ploughed in at Mbuji mayi yesterday no injuries Im happy to report. Source stated onthe approach #4 caught fire and wouldnt feather causing the the aircraft to crash near the runway and burn.

With the constant and repetitive compressor stalls they subject their 727's to in LUB, they are gonna lose engines on one of those too. And soon.
I despair.:(

Well anything is possible in the DRC!

He, TR made a fortune out of this ex impounded Lesotho aircraft. Paid more for positioning and “airworthiness arrangement” from Kinshasa CAA than for the a/c.


To extend the live of engines only $$$:ooh:
To dish up “new” logbooks or not to ask for them…… $$$:ooh:
Import C of A and inspection only $$$:ooh:
No questions asked only $$$:ooh:




That Antonov 12 of TR was a fantastic aircraft. Crashed only after 5 years or more of no maintenance.

Was there ever any more information about this accident and what was the reg of the bird?

Well if it aint overloading its dodgy maintenance or lack there of.
If it aint any of the above its due to bad luck!
