what really amuses me are the old-style rubber hot water bottles strapped to his chest as fuel bladders!

The motors he strapped to his shoea were Micro jets. I saw them at their booth at Oshkosh air show last year. They have about 5 sizes and they have installed then on , in-line skates, scooters, barstool and other stuff.
I think they were about $5,000 USD - $25,000 USD

I know Ryan Air's prices are cheap but if that's the way you've got to travel, that's ridiculous! This is what happens when you combine too much/too little sunlight with home brewed Finish vodka!

Now what would be amazing is if he could do a vertical take off with them and maybe even a hover!!

That is just a top video!!

Because you watched the Road Runner every Saturday morning. I did and when I when to learn to fly I when to "Acme School of Aeronautics" After all If Acme could supply Wiley with all of his little toys to do in the Road Runner, then he had to be a pretty good flight school was my reasoning for going there.

( It was a very good school was run by retired AF Colonels and one General, they also published the Acme test guides, before the test became public you got the blue book to prep for the writtens back then 85 was an excellent score)

These are the engines:

At 159kg thrust Nimbus can hover with a pilot/eccentric, but not for long at 79kg fuel/hour...
