Ladies and Gents
Does anyone have a link to detailed information on the current FRI. I've checked RAFCOM ( RAF community web thingy) with no joy and can't find anything on PPRune.
Help appreciated.

FRI finishes in April. Is that definitely it or is it likely to be replaced ?

Heard a rumour (this PPrune after all!) that the FRI may be reviewed in light of the current stampede at the 16/38 point. Specifically Sqn Ldrs was also mentioned. If it does come back I would expect it to be tightly targeted though.

The inertia of pay policy means that such a thing is highly unlikely to stop the stampede...

Yes, the retention of Career Spine aircrew sqn ldrs appears to be a major issue! But is that any surprise after how they have been disadvantaged in favour of the Professional Aviator Spine?

Did a lot of research into PAS on an issue I have with it. Found a lot of good gen in AP3393 ... which you can access from the net.

FRI 2 finishes in Apr 07 for the hallowed few.

I read on some random pension email recently that;
FRI will remain for all pilots and FJ WSOs until Apr 07, the last date for eligibility being 31 Mar 07.

According to our Sqn brief today, the Army are withdrawing FRI 1 & 2 from Apr 1st this year.

FRI 1 & 2 were withdrawn for ME pilots a while ago.
Showed the FRI worked though - as soon as they got rid of it for them, all the ME pilots upped sticks and left ;)
Have heard a rumour that FRI 2 was going to reappear in the multi world. Don't believe it myself :)

Oh I'm way beyond any initiative to keep me flying, but my oppo sat next to me here is wondering if his FRI is safe.
