Anyone see the Iceair B752 with blended Winglets at LHR this weekend? Very very nice.

They are looking very nice. 3 of them are already installed with winglets, TF-FIJ, TF-FIN and TF-FIP. TF-FIO is now in Kelowna (CYLW) to be installed with winglets, as are at least 4 more.

Continental one with winglets at Lisbon yesterday too (sorry no reg. noted - anorak left at home...); definitely a visual improvement, but does anyone have the business case numbers for doing it - it can't be a cheap mod?

I don't have any idea of figures but with the way that fuel prices are going, I'm sure that the business case must be extremely strong.

American are getting some too I believe. APB testing the waters for 767 winglets too I think.

Some rudimentary returns state fuel improvment of at least 5% and improvement on speed parameters. But as stated an improvemnt of 5% should see other operators wingleting all manner of Boeings.
