Balanced Field

Howdy folks, just looking for a definition of balanced field. Would I be correct in assuming that if you had an aircraft where V1 and Vr are synonomous, then reducing V1 would reduce accelerate/stop, but increase balanced field? Can we include a clearway in balanced field caculations? Would I be correct in saying that if the takeoff run equals or is greater than accelerate/stop, then we can consider the field balanced? Thanks in advance for any info.

I always understood it to be where it takes as much runway to stop as it does to carry on (to screen height), or where accelerate stop is equal to accelerate go, which ends at 35 feet, therefore clearway is included.

balanced field simply means that TODA = ASDA

Balance field means TODA=ASDA...
maybe u were thinking of Balanced V1..which is something different, it means to reduce V1 so that the distance from brake release point to V1 is the same as the distance from V1 to the screen height (35 ft for a class A a/c).This in turn will increase the field lenght limited take off mass .
